Recently,
4alfalfa.com was privileged to become acquainted with Judiann Hancock,
the daughter of Harold Switzer, and niece of Alfalfa. Judiann has
graciously consented to share family reminscences with us, and to
provide candid family photographs for inclusion in this site. Our
conversations with Judiann have been extremely interesting and enlightening
and in the coming weeks we will be sharing some of the information
we have learned from her.
Judiann
wanted to pass along this message exclusively to 4alfalfa.com to
all of her uncle's and father's fans...
"On
behalf of my family I would like to thank the generations of fans
who have always shown so much love for my uncle, Alfalfa, and my
dad Harold.
"There
is much more to my uncle and dad than most people know. 'Alfie',
as we called him, was an awesome uncle. And my dad Harold was a
loving and devoted father to me and my two brothers. My uncle and
dad remained close all through their adult lives.
"I'm
glad that this website is trying to help tell a side of their story
that usually doesn't appear in papers or on TV. I know that my uncle
and my dad would be very happy if they knew how many fans they still
have, and how happy they have made so many people over the years."
